Thought I'd share this from an invitation I got from Rick Jarow, to attend his workshop on Creating the Work You Love.

The word "economy" can be traced back to the Greek oikos meaning "house" or "household" and refers to the intimate management of our daily lives, which can neither be separated from our environment nor our most authentic sense of what is real. We can point to global systems of exchange; we can look at inequities, injustices, and the unbelievable irresponsibility of entire nations chronic debt. Ultimately, however, it is our own households and our ongoing energies of exchange that have become deeply imbalanced and off center.
